The LSAC (Law School Admission Council) has announced the LSAT 2022 result of January 2022 on February 1, 2022. Candidates By logging into the admission portal at discoverlaw.in applicants can download their LSAT India scorecard 2022 for the January session. The LSAT 2022 result is out in the form of a scaled score. It has the details such as score band, total scaled score, percentile reached in LSAT 2022. Aspirants can use the LSAT 2022 result report card for admission purpose in several private law institutes affiliated to the Law School Admission Council in India.

Score card for LSAT India May session will be released in the first week of June 2022. The Law School Admission Council  shares the scorecards with the Institutes affiliated to LSAT  and with those who accept the scores for admission in  5-year LLB, 3-year LLB and LLM programmes.

LSAT 2022 Scorecard-Scaled Score, Score Band and Percentile

The scorecard of LSAT 2022 is has scaled score, score band and percentile. What does these terms mean is mentioned below:

LSAT 2022 Scaled Score

The scale score of LSAT—India 2022 will be based on the number of questions attempted correctly by that candidates. It is an idea of the actual proficiency of the applicant. The difficulty level of LSAT exam may vary from session to session, and that is why, the raw scores obtained by the applicants in different sessions are not comparable. For this reason, the raw score of the candidate is converted to an LSAT scaled score that ranges from 420 to 480, where 420 being the lowest possible score and 480 being the highest possible score.

On the basis of the scaled scores of LSAT 2022, applicants/universities can compare the different scores during the process of admission.

LSAT India 2022 Score Band

It shows the tentative proficiency of the applicants for the skills checked in the LSAT 2022. The actual proficiency of the applicants can be slightly higher or lower than that shows by the LSAT India score.

LSAT India 2022 Percentile

The percentile expresses the percentage of applicants for the course whose scores were less than the applicant’s score. Let’s say, if any applicants has received 90% percentile, this represents that the applicant has earned higher percentage than 90% of candidates who participated in LSAT India for the similar programme. However, the applicants can’t compare the LSAT India percentile of one programme (5-year LLB) to the percentile of 3 Year LL.B programme.

LSAT India Score validity

According to LSAC rules, the scores obtained by any candidate in LSAT India 2022 exam will remain valid for 5 years. However, the exam authorities of LSAT have advised the applicants to go through the eligibility criteria of law colleges they are planning for whether they will accept the scores or not.

What after LSAT India Result Declaration?

The LSAC will be sharing the scorecards of the applicants with the universities and colleges that are accepting the scores of LSAT Exam. Through their login credentials candidates will also get the scorecard copies. They can apply to get admission to the law colleges separately using their LSAT India scores. A merit list will be prepared by universities/colleges based on the scores obtained by all applicants and shortlist the candidates for admissions. Universities and Colleges can have their own criteria for admission.

LSAT India Score Cancellation & Re-Test Option

The LSAT 2022 score earned by an applicant can be rejected by LSAC on the following grounds:

  • If  during examination an applicant is found not obeying the invigilator’s instructions
  • If an applicant violates the candidate agreement prescribed by LSAC
  • If during post-test analysis, any candidate found cheating during examination.
  • If an applicant follows any kind of mis-conduct while giving the exam such as using a mobile phone, having an electronic device, communicating with any person at exam centre, using any books or notes and so on.
