Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University takes admission based on the cut off issued by the University for the Colleges affiliated to it. It has been noticed that in the last few years the IPU has started becoming unpredictable when it comes to college allocations. It was noticed that in 2020 due to the covid situation the marking, cut off and ranks were a little lenient as compared to the rest of the years. Once the students have registered, the admit cards will be issued and right after Examinations are conducted, students can check their scores and rank within a couple of weeks. The students are then allocated colleges through counselling depending on the college’s cut off for the courses it offers. There are majorly three rounds of counselling under IPU and then is the spot round.
