BCECE Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for BCECE entrance exam is given below. Students are requested to read all the points carefully and know whether they have the eligibility to write the BCECE entrance test. The eligibility criteria for BCECE comprises of 3 aspects – Domicile Qualification, Qualification Eligibility and other eligibility. Students must keep in mind to fulfill the below given criteria before filling the application form.
• Candidate must have Indian citizenship.
• Candidate is eligible for exam if he/she belongs to the state of Bihar, i.e. domicile of Bihar state.
• Parents should be a permanent resident of Bihar state.
• Atleast, the applicant’s parent must be a government employee of the Bihar state.
• Applicants who want to do Agriculture and Medical courses must be of 17 years old completely before 31st December of the admission year.
• Students who are willing to study engineering course have no age limit for eligibility to apply BCECE entrance exam.
• Applicants are eligible to take admission only if he/she undergoes medical tests and clears it.

BCECE Qualification

BCECE Eligibility Criteria for Engineering and Pharmacy Course

Candidates can go through the eligibility criteria for Engineering and Pharmacy course:

Educational Qualification:

Engineering/Technology (Four Year Programme):

Candidates should have completed their Higher Secondary or equivalent education with minimum 45% or more and taking Mathematics or Physics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical as one of the elective .

Four Year Program in Pharmacy:

Candidates must have passed their 12th examinations or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects as well as securing minimum 45% or more marks and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical vocational subject as an optional subject.

Domicile:

The candidate must be a citizen of India. One of the following domicile criteria to be fulfilled by the candidates

• Parents of applicants should be permanent residents of Bihar or
• The parents are registered refugees in Bihar.
• The parents of the candidates are residents of other states but are employees of the government of Bihar
• The parents of the candidates are employees of National Associations and are currently posted in Bihar.

Physical examination:

• The appointed doctor will conduct the medical examination for the selected candidates.
• Applicants will get admission only if they clear the medical examination, which will also include separate fees.

Age Range: No age limit criteria for admission in Engineering/ Pharmacy courses.

BCECE Eligibility Criteria for Medical Courses

Candidates can go through the eligibility criteria for medical courses:

Educational qualification:

• Candidates should have passed 12th examination or equivalent examination in subjects like English, Physics, Chemistry and Botany/ Zoology.
• Minimum 50 and aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• For the SC / ST / EBC category, the minimum average percentage is 40%.

Domicile:

• The domicile criteria will remain the same as mentioned above for Engineering and Pharmacy courses.

Age Range:

• Aspirants, who are interested to study in the field of Medicine, must be of 17 years old to be eligible.
• Candidates, whose date of birth is 31st December, 1999 will not be eligible. Physical examination :

• The appointed doctor will conduct the medical examination for the selected candidates.
• They will be allowed to take admission only if they clear the medical examination, which will also include separate fees.
