The National Testing Agency (NTA) has renamed UPSEE as UPCET-Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test which is a state-level test for candidates seeking admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate programs affiliated with AKTU, MMMUT, and other state universities of Uttar Pradesh. The examination will conduct in an online mode/ computer based exam and the question papers will be available in English as well as Hindi language for the undergraduate and integrated courses. On the other hand, for the post graduation candidates, the question paper will be in only English language. As mentioned, the dates is yet to be declared therefore we are providing a data of tentative dates so students can start preparing for the test accordingly.
Although the applications are open for all. However, the selection process can be different owing to the reservation for the students. The authorities have set up two types of reservation based on the category and sub category of the students. The admissions are only applied on the Uttar Pradesh Universities hence the admissions are also categorised in the same city. Schedule caste and scheduled tribe holds 21% and 27% of the seats respectively. On the other hand, Scheduled tribe holds a very small section of only 02% of the University seats.

The participating colleges/institutes have to follow the reservation system and allot the seat accordingly. In fact, the cut off is also different for the every category of the students.
