Education department of Bihar runs an autonomous body under the state education department of Bihar known as Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB 2022). It is a statutory body works under Bihar Government under section 3 of Bihar School Examination Act – 1952. The Primary duty of Bihar education board is to organize the. Class 10 exams and Intermediate exams every year for all the affiliated schools to Bihar Education Board.

BSEB also has some different other roles apart from conducting Metric and Intermediate examination. Bihar School examination Board was set up with the goal of improves the quality of education in the state for the good future of the students. Some main actions that the Bihar board oversees are;

Bihar School Examination Board Syllabus
The BSEB syllabus for all the classes is prescribed by The State Government of Bihar prescribes the BSEB syllabus for class 10th and 12th for example class 10th subjects in Social Science (Geography, Economics History, Political Science), and English. Science (Biology Physics, Chemistry), Maths. After completing class 10th, students need to choose among options, choose either the Science stream, Commerce stream, or Arts stream. The Bihar board and the Government decide the syllabus of all the subjects in different stream.

BSEB Exam Pattern
The pattern for both the Matric and intermediate examinations is designed by the Bihar School Examination Board. In the exams as per the pattern, each paper consists of 50% objective type questions which have 1 mark each. The students will get an OMR sheets to choose correct option for the 1 mark MCQs. There will be descriptive type questions also in the paper. Apart from these there are some subjects which have the provision of practical, practical of the subject hold the weighatge of 30 and+ 70 written.
