What is passing marks in IPU CET

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, formerly Indraprastha University is a state government university located in Delhi, Dwarka.Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts IPU CET exam every year so that students can apply to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in colleges which are affiliated to GGSIPU. Full form of IPU CET is (Indraprastha University common entrance test ). Students join engineering, law, administration, computer application, journalism, mass communication, management, nursing , medical and many more fields.

Every year the cutoff is decided by Indraprastha University, New Delhi. It changes from year to year. The university has announced the answer key beforehand to check how many answers are correct and how many answers are incorrect.  Through that students are able to predict whether they will qualify IPU CET or not. There are 100 questions asked in the IPU CET exam, the minimum cut off would be 35-40 correct answers out of 100 for other categories like OBC -Other Backward Class, SC – Scheduled Caste, ST – Scheduled Tribes.

There are other reservations apart from these, the cut off or passing marks would be different. For general caste 50 answers should be correct to pass the IPU CET examination. Students who qualify the IPU CET exam are allotted with rank. Students who do not qualify for IPU CET are not allotted with rank and are not eligible for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various colleges in multiple fields.
