Delhi Board of Senior Secondary Education is a initiative where government help students to complete their senior secondary education. In most of the countries where primary education is mandatory to provide, here in India, via DBSSE the sencondary education is mandate part of compulsory education. Higher Secondary Examination is a centralised examination of class 12. All the educational boards being autonomous bodies, their sessions of conducting, number of subjects, type of exams and grading methods differ among the boards.

There has been a considerable increase in the spread of educational institutes during the period 1950-51 and 2007-2008. During these periods scope for secondary and higher secondary education increased by 3 times especially by the private candidates, who is not in full time education in a school, college or similar educational institution. It is an expectional opportunity for the working class, professionals, businessmen, house wives, students of weaker section of the society and the school dropout candidates to complete their studies. The equation of getting those special students in a common platform , where they can avail low cost optimum & substantial education, learn the basics , examine & certify and appear for their first benchmark of Examination and obtain certificate of secondary level.

The Board is established for development of education under the guidelines of national education policy 1986 and programme of action 1992 Govt. of India respectively collaborated with Rashtriya Saksharta Abhiyaan (India) and also Recognized by IAO (International Accreditation Organization (USA). Delhi Board of Senior Secondary Education is a self autonomous, Independent Board run & managed by The Council of Basic and Technical Education with following credentials. Education programme conducted by the Board are in strict conformity with the constitution of India and law of the land under Article 19(1) G, 29 & 30(1) U/s 2(G)
