Normally everyone in the society used to think and plan to send their kids to private schools because of good infrastructure and quality education. Now parents would be thinking of sending their children to government schools as the government is working on the vision to improve Delhi government schools slowly. When the government decided to spend money on government schools, now there are many parents who want to send their children to government schools.

 Teacher Development Programs

Teachers and principals were sent to get trained. They went to Cambridge university, Singapore,Finland, America, Canada, IIM Lucknow and  IIM Ahmedabad. The principals and teachers came back to India with lots of training so that they can deliver their subjects effectively.

Delhi government schools also started sending students abroad for foreign exchange programmes. Normally even private schools don’t send their students abroad for foreign exchange programmes. When the students go abroad they understand how does the grading system works there and how does the education system works abroad when compared to India. We have also sent our Indian students from government schools for olympiads abroad. The students won medals in the olympiad.

Right now the government school principal decides where the fund should be spent and what is important for school. Earlier for every small thing the principal used to ask the directorate of government and get permission from. Earlier principle used to get INR 5000 and now the principle in government schools get INR 50,000. So now the principal has the power to decide what is important and where to spend the money. If there is a subject who does not have a permanent teacher, then the principal can hire  a part time or guest lecturer for the students. The curriculum has been revised so that students get ready for industry jobs and have a plethora of career opportunities after schooling.
