The Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET) exam has been recently replaced by the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) through NTA. This exam is mainly relevant to various institutions in Uttar Pradesh affiliated to the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT), and other UP State Universities. Candidates can enroll in various professional courses offered by various institutions of UP through this exam.
There are majorly eight undergraduate programs and five master’s programs offered through UPCET in Up colleges. Like UPSEE, this exam is not valid for admission in engineering courses. The list of all the UG, PG, Lateral Entry, and Integrated courses offered through UPCET 2021 is given below:
Undergraduate Program:
- Pharma – Bachelors in Pharmacy is a four-year program held by AKTU, MMMUT, other state universities. The mode of examination is offline and held once a year.
- Lateral Entry in B.Pharma – For admission in the Second year (Lateral entry) in B.Pharma course one must complete their 2 years Diploma in the same genre from any college in Uttar Pradesh. The examination conducting body is AKTU and other state universi The rest of all the clauses are the same except for the duration of three years.
- BBA – Bachelors in business administration is a three years course is conducted by MMMUT with the examination duration of two hours
- BFA / BHMCT / B FAD – These all courses are conducted by AKTU and other state universities with a course duration of four years. The examination Syllabus of these courses includes Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical deduction, General Knowledge and current affairs, and lastly, English Language.
- Des – This designing course is of four years conducted by AKTU and other state universities. The syllabus of the entrance examination is the same as above except one more subject is added in the curriculum named design.
- Voc – This vocational course is a three-year degree program conducted by AKTU and other state universities. This program offers ten different distinct vocational specializations to the eligible aspirants
Graduate Program:
- MCA / MBA (Integrated) – This five-year plan is best suitable for those students who are sure about the continuous approach of the program as this contains a bachelor’s + master’s degree. The conducting body of UPCET for this exam is AKTU and other state universities.
- MCA – This post-graduation program in Computer applications is conducted by AKTU, MMMUT, and other state universities for the duration of two years.
- MBA – Masters in Business Administration is a two-year program conducted by MMMUT.
- Sc – This two-year course is eligible for those only who studied and passed their bachelor’s in Physics, chemistry, and maths.
