Management Quota For Bcom H Admission in ipu

Bachelors in Commerce is the most common course three-year undergraduate degree program imparted in full-time, distance education as well as online mode offered by GGSIPU. B.Com is the most sought-after course under the commerce stream as maximum commerce students tend to enroll in a B.Com course at the Under Graduate level. Coming to the choice under commerce, students have been offered BCom and BCom (Honours) as two options. B.Com (Hons) curriculum is designed to impart education in some specialized subjects; whereas, BCom, also known as BCom Pass or B.Com General, is an overview of all the subjects taught in an honors course. BCom graduates are hired for various junior level profiles in the finance, accounting, banking, commerce, HR and administrative departments of organizations. BCom graduates are also hired by accounting and auditing firms as well as banks and insurance companies.

The selection process under the IP University has certain eligibility criteria that needed to meet in order to take admission:

  • The candidates must have passed class 10+2 from a government-recognized board of school education
  • The minimum aggregate percentage required for admission is 50%
  • Qualify the Common Entrance Test

Based on the merit score, students got selected for the IP colleges. However, there is another provision for admission in case some candidates are unable to meet the requirements of the eligibility that is Management quota, it is the option given to such students who can pay twice or thrice the amount of actual fee structure. Alongside, these admissions are applicable to the self-funded and private institutions under the IP affiliation. This is to be noted that the students cannot take direct admission to the GGSIPU campus in the management quota. Almost 10%-15% are seats reserved for management quota students and the rest are admitted as per the basic eligibility requirements of the authorities.
