Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Colleges in Uttar Pradesh

Every university has separate eligibility criteria. While some private universities have there own rules and regulations.

Uttar Pradesh Government conducts Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam every year for admission of students in B.Tech Courses. It is conducted by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University.  This is an India level exam. So many students from all over India gives this exam in a hope of getting admission in B.Tech in reputed AKTU. The entrance exam is taken with the main motive of giving those students the chance of doing engineering who really are eligible i.e. they are knowledgeable and completely thorough with their school content. This is done so that the colleges may be certain that the students getting admission in their colleges are all done fairly and students are not selected or Judged on the basis of their 12th Marks.

Apart from this, students who have not given any entrance exam can also take admission in Btech. For this eligibility is as follows-

  • Candidates must have passed the class 12 exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
  • They must also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 50% in the above subjects combined.

Students are carefully handpicked on the groundwork of their talent and knowledge gained throughout their school life. Therefore even this year AKTU will conduct UPSEE to admit students for B.Tech and lateral courses. The total no. of questions will be 150 with 50 ques from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The application form filling will comprise of various steps like registration, photo uploading, fee payment etc. The students who will be eligible will have to get minimum of 45% in PCM (40% in Reserved category). The fee for the same is Rs. 1300 for male, general, OBC Candidates and Rs. 650 for female, SC/ST candidates.
