B.Tech IOT Entrance Exams : Bachelor of Technology (BTech) is a four-year professional undergraduate engineering program that is one of the most popular courses in India and there are many institutes that offer the course to aspiring students. For admissions, the most common BTech entrance examination is JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Although, there are many state and private level examinations that students can attempt for admissions. However, those are restricted to particular colleges/Universities along with 10+2th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

The top engineering entrance exams in India are listed below for the reference of all the aspirants who wish to pursue engineering.

  1. JEE Main

National Testing Agency conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is the well-known admission procedure IIITs, NITs, KCC and other more prestigious engineering institutes. More than 12 lakh applicants appear for this examination and reach JEE Advanced for admissions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours long and is multiple choice in nature.

  1. BITSAT

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) conducts the University level online entrance exam. BITSAT offers admission to 2000 eligible applicants into the three campuses of BITS. Around 2 lakh applicants appear for this examination every year. The duration of the online examination is 3 hours and the objective-based paper is divided into four sections – Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning and Mathematics.

  1. VITEEE

Around 5000 undergraduate engineering seats are available for eligible applicants under VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Exam). The VIT conducts the University level examination and around 2 lakh students appear for it every year. The mode of examination is online and will be objective in nature. Within the duration of 2½ hours, the applicants will have to solve 125 questions from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Aptitude, and English sections.

  1. SRMJEEE

The SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) is conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology is a computer-based test is held for admissions in which 7,000 undergraduate engineering seats available from 1 lakh appliers. The entrance examination consists of 125 questions and the applicants will have to qualify for the exam for admission into the University.

  1. SITEEE

Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (SITEEE) is conducted annually by Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT). JEE Main and MHT CET qualified applicants are also eligible for admission. The University level entrance exam offers admission to eligible applicants into the 420 seats available. The entrance exam consists of 100 questions and the total marks are 200. The duration of SITEEE is 150 minutes.

  1. MHT CET

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for admissions to BTech courses in Maharashtra state. It is a pen and paper-based engineering entrance test. Around 4 lakh students appear in MHT CET every year. Class 12 students having domicile in Maharashtra are eligible to apply for MHT CET 2021.

From all the entrance tests, JEE Main and Advanced is the most common and recognized all over India. The entrance exam pattern has been the same irrespective of the chosen branch of Bachelor in Technology.
