BBA LLB: Entrance Exams

BBA LLB stands for Bachelor of Business Administration & Bachelor of Legislative Law is the integrated dual degree course which offers knowledge of management studies and legislative law. However, students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria in order to take admission in BBA LLB.

The basic eligibility criteria for BTech:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 exam from a recognized board with minimum 50% aggregate and 45% in case of SC and ST candidates.
  • Candidate must also have passed English as an core or elective subject.
  • Candidate must qualify the enterance exam organised by certain university.
  1. CLAT

This Common Law Admission Test is conducted by Consortium of NLUs and held twice in a year. The exam fee is 4000 INR for general students and 3500 INR for reserved category. This is a two hours pen-paper exam and applicable for undergraduate and postgraduate students. There are in total 22 Universities in India that offers BBA LLB. In addition to this, there are 61 affiliates, which are private universities, that have signed MOUs with the consortium to use CLAT scores. CLAT slyabus includes:

UG courses

  • Current Affairs including General Knowledge
  • Legal Reasoning
  • English Language
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Techniques

PG courses

  • Law subjects such as Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Torts, Criminal Law, etc.
  1. LSAT

Law School Admission Council (LSAC) held two times a year using online protocol format that can be took from home. The registration fee for the test is INR 3800 and students have priviledge to take 10 online practice test with 7000 INR. These practice test are so reliable especially for those who are applying for LSAT’s. This test is accepted by 85 colleges of India if the eligibility criteria have been met.

  1. ULSAT

UPES Law School Admission Test is held online. 80% of the seats filled through ULSAT examination. The candidates who qualify in ULSAT have to attend Group discussions and interviews to finally qualify for admission. The qualifying candidates are given admission in the course of their choice to the UPES School of Law (SOL). In total 520 seats are available in the UG law courses and a total of 70 seats are available in the PG law courses.

  1. SLAT

Symbiosis Law Admission Test is the online mode exam of 90 minutes with 60 MCQ’s.This examination is only applicable in four schools of Symbiosis. This exam happens only once in a year. After qualifying the exam, shortlisted candidates have to appear for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) and selection in the college on the basis of merit in the above levels.

  1. MH CET

 The State CET Cell Maharashtra has released the MH CET law seat allotment has been made considering the MH CET merit ranks and college options picked during counseling registration. MH CET law counseling is being conducted in online mode and is known as the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). CAP will have two online seat-allotment rounds; if there are vacant seats left after CAP, such seats will be filled through institution-level counselling.
