B. A. (Hons.) Economics IP University Eligibility Criteria: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi is a center of academic excellence and certainly the largest university of Delhi NCR that offers B. A. (Hons.) Economics program. The colleges under IP University are approved by UGC and designed with an approach to provide quality education, along with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and imparted in regular mode.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed class 10+2 from recognized state and central government boards or equivalent
  • Minimum aggregate percentage required for admission is 50% (in the best five)
  • Candidates must have English and Maths as a core/elective/functional subject in 10+2

Age requirement

The minimum age should be 17 years to a maximum of 21 years of age.

Entrance test

Aspirants need to appear for a national-level entrance exam that is the Common Entrance Test conducted by GGSIPU. The admissions are offered into the different institutions of IPU post the counseling sessions

After the declaration of results, candidates are shortlisted for Counseling. A merit list has been prepared by the University based on ranking obtained by candidates in IPU CET Exam. The college allotment has been strictly followed by that merit list approved by GGSIPU

Please note that students who are appearing for 10+2 are also eligible to apply for the CET entrance exam. Certainly, they can submit the proof of eligibility within a stipulated time frame given on the official website of IP University.

  • Passport size color photograph
  • Copy of mark sheet of 10th and 12th class.
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC)
  • Category Certificate (EWS)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration certificate
  • Admit card copy of CET
  • Result copy of CET

The admission to Eco Hons Program at IPU is through CET which is typically conducted in the month of May every year. However, the date of examination has not been declared this year due to Pandemic. Considerably, to be held around Aug-Sept by online mode( presuming the current covid status). By and large, 85% of seats under IP colleges are reserved for Delhi Region Candidates, and 15% of seats are reserved for Outside Delhi Region Candidates. These seats have been filled up through the merit basis of the respective CET Code.
