Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts IPU CET exam every year so that students can apply to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in colleges which are affiliated to GGSIPU. Full form of IPU CET is (Indraprastha University common entrance test ). Students join engineering, law, administration,computer application, journalism, mass communication, management, nursing , medical and many more fields. There are 120 colleges affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University of New Delhi. Out of 120 colleges, 35 colleges are government institutes affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi. The remaining 85 colleges are self financed institutes affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The exam is conducted once in a year so that students can join colleges which are affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Earlier the IPU CET exam was conducted offline at examination centres. This year the exam was conducted online because of pandemic and it was a computer based test in\u00a0 2021.
